Linda Domholt Aug. 29, 1947 - Nov. 11, 2017 Linda Ruth Domholt, 70, died at her home in Alameda, CA, after a long struggle with cancer. At her death, she was attended by her three children, her husband and other family members. Linda was born in Cleveland, OH, on Aug. 29, 1947, to Robert Eugene Lanham and Ella Ruth Lanham (Berry), both of Webster County, West Virginia. Linda held a BA degree in Child Development from Cal State Hayward and received her MA degree in Educational Psychology at UC Berkeley, along with certification as a School Psychologist. Many hundreds of children and families benefited from her work for over 30 years with the children, parents, teachers and other professionals of the Vallejo City Unified School District. In Alameda, Linda was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the church choir, numerous church committees, and the Lutheran Ministry to Nursing Homes. She additionally enjoyed Sacred Harp singing and playing in her local ukulele club. She was a volunteer for the Alameda Museum, Meals on Wheels, the Philanthropic Educational Organization, and many other civic and charitable activities. Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Richard Domholt; her three children, Elizabeth (John) Herrera, Kristina (Brian) Mauer, and Robert (Trystan) Domholt; as well as her grandchildren, Ella and Ethan Mauer. In addition, her mother, Ruth, and two younger sisters, Cheryl (Richard) Arguile and Nanette (Frank) Caldararo. A memorial service will be held on Nov. 18, at 11 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alameda, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent to Alameda Meals on Wheels, Lutheran Ministry to Nursing Homes c/o Trinity Lutheran Church of Alameda, the Triple Negative Breast Cancer Foundation, or the Philanthropic Educational Organization.
