Peggy Easterling Obituary

Jan. 27, 1954 - Dec. 12, 2010

Peggy was born Jan. 27, 1954 in Lake County, Calif., and lived most of her life in Concord, graduating from Concord High with the class of 1972. She lived in Vallejo for many years before moving to Westwood following her retirement from Motorola/Day Wireless of Oakland.

She mastered the art of friendship and was the catalyst of many long-term relationships. She was an enthusiastic participant in life and had many rewarding experiences. Throughout her life she maintained friendships with everyone she met. She was creative and enjoyed writing children's books.

Peggy loved and was loved by her family and friends and never saw anyone's weakness, only focusing on the good qualities in people. She was instrumental in the raising of many nieces, nephews and neighborhood children - a true friend and gentle guide to all.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Marjorie Cook, brother-in-law, Doug Pharr, and stepson, Corbin. She is survived by her loving husband, Jim; daughter, Suzanne Tietjen; stepdaughter, Sabrina; sisters, Carol and Bill

Putnam, Jan and Elmer Filomeo, Gloria Pharr and Linda Cook; nieces and nephews Melinda, Ted, Amanda, Melanie, Amy, Roger, David, Wendy and Morgan, and their families.

Peggy was an important person in the lives of her friends and family and will be missed for her many wonderful qualities by all who knew her.

Jim,

My deepest sympathies. Peggy and I spent many years together as friends and co-workers. She had the best heart of anyone I know. She was always fun and adventurous. I have many, many great memories of the times we spent together. I will always miss her great laugh, smile and imagination.
