Saturnina Noveloso Acosta DeMayo, went to be with the Lord on Friday, Nov. 2, at the age of 93.
Saturnina (Mening) was born in Alcala, Pangasinan, Philippines. She and her husband, Andres Martin DeMayo, migrated to the United States in 1959 and settled in Vallejo. Saturnina was a wonderful and loving wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was kindhearted and always wanted the best for her family. She loved to cook, garden, visit family and babysit her grandchildren.
Saturnina is survived by her husband of 69 years, Andres and five children, Andre (Narnita) DeMayo of Palmdale, CA., Felicitas (Camilo) Abreu of Binalonan, Pangasinan, Senita Alegado of Vallejo, CA., Sonia (Rod) Damaso, Jr. of Vallejo, CA., and Arles (Rosalina) DeMayo of Vallejo, CA. She was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 12 and Tuesday, Nov. 13, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with 7 p.m. Rosary on Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Colonial Chapel, 1000 Redwood St., Vallejo. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at St. Basil The Great Catholic Church. Burial to follow at Sacramento Valley VA National Cemetery in Dixon, CA.
