Victor Richard Lawhorn, 60, died suddenly on June 27. Victor was born in Chicago, Illinois on April 11,1953. He was the youngest of five children born to the late Rev V.J. and Margaret Lawhorn. Rev. Lawhorn moved his family to Vallejo in 1969 and became the Pastor of Good Samaritan Missionary Baptist Church. Victor attended Vallejo Senior High School graduating in the class of 1971. He also attended UC Berkeley and graduated in 1975. He went on to attend Western State College of Law in Southern CA, and practiced law for a short period of time in the Bay Area.  
Victors real passion was the theater and performing arts. He wrote, produced, directed, and performed in numerous plays and dinner theaters throughout Oakland, Berkeley, and the Bay Area. Victor was also an accomplished musician playing piano for various churches in Vallejo and Richmond, In addition, he was a Mason in Acalanes Fellowship Lodge #480 in Lafayette, CA. 
Victor was preceded in death by both his parents, and a brother, Vernon Lawhorn. He is survived by two daughters, Victoria Lawhorn, Las Vegas, NV, Marguerite McNicoll, New York, N.Y.; Two sisters, Vernetta Northcutt, Sacramento, Verdell Chriss, (Ronald) Vallejo, and one brother, Vincent Lawhorn (Dorothy) Alamorgordo, New Mexico. Victor also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and friends. 
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 5 from 1 to 6 p.m., at Fuller Funeral Home, 3100 Cutting Blvd., Richmond, CA. Services will be held Saturday, July 6, at 1 p.m., at Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church, 831 S. 43rd St., Richmond. Repast immediately following service.
