Walter Scott III Notice
Oct. 3, 1958 - Oct 25, 2013
Walter Scott III, 55, of Martinez, left us suddenly Oct. 25, from natural causes; he was born on Oct. 3, 1958 in Dover, NH.
Walter, best known as "Scott" to his family and friends, was a loving, caring and devoted family man. His biggest joy in life was his family, as well as escaping to nature for hunting and fishing trips on his beloved boat; listening to music and coming home with fish and pictures to document his adventures.
He graduated from Merritt College and became an X-ray Technician, for 35 years; making his family proud.
He had a genuine love for helping others and sharing all that he knew. He loved photography, using his family and nature as his inspiration, whether it was the occasional family function, graduation, family outing or just an excuse to take great photos. He most recently took on the challenge of going back to school to become a Computer Programmer.
Scott was also a member of the Boy Scouts of America in Dover, NH and served in the US Army.
He is survived by his wife Debra; daughters, Alyesha and Autumn; mother, Eleanor (Douglas Anderson); and brother, James. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Scott Jr. and brother, Gregory.
He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed; his words and spirit will forever be in our hearts. We love you very much.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Friday. Nov. 8, at Ouimet Bros. Concord Funeral Chapel, 4125 Clayton Rd., Concord, CA 94521.
