Charles Nicholas (Chuck) Sanchez passed away peacefully at home with his familily after a brief illness.
Chuck spent his 50 year career taking care of others as an LVN, working at several Bay Area hospitals, where his kindness and compassion for others shone.
Chuck loved music, dancing, and family get-togethers. He enjoyed annual summertime camping trips with his family and friends and was always ready to have a good time. He had a great sense of humor and he loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren with everything he had in him.
He is preceded by his wife, Joyce; son, Chuck; brother, Ray and sisters, Clara Dever, Margie Adams and Pricilla Struckhoff.
He is survived by his daughters, Laura (Bill) Chauvin, Carla Rodriguez, and son, Guy Sanchez; daughter in law, Angela Sanchez; grandchildren, Nick and Alex Chauvin, Christopher and Alise Rodriguez, Aaron, Sarah and Ryan Sanchez, and step-grandaughter, Lauren Wilson; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Sam and Ron; sisters, Frances Bendixen and Dolores (Danny) Tiburcio as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial Mass will be held Friday, Feb. 21 at 11 a.m., at St. Basil's Church, 1230 Nebraska St., Vallejo. Arrangements entrusted to the direction and care of Twin Chapels Mortuary.
The family has set up a donation fund to help with funeral expenses. In lieu of flowers monetary donations can be made at Umpqua Bank, acct. # 992875682. Checks made payable to Laura Chauvin.
