Ed DeNatale Notice
March 28, 1957 - Feb. 19, 2014

Ed DeNatale, 56, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family and friends following a courageous year-long battle with cancer. He was born in San Francisco and raised in Daly City where he lived until moving to Vallejo in 1990.

Ed worked as a plumber for 37 years but found true joy in hunting, fishing and the adventure of the great outdoors. He and Karen loved entertaining at their off the grid cabin in Red Bluff.

Ed loved being part of a large family and was always the first to help anyone in need. He is survived by his loving wife Karen; children, Christopher (Julia) DeNatale, Sarah DeNatale, Audrey (John) Zierke and Stacey (Dave) Lind; his parents, Paul and Lavina DeNatale; brothers, Bill (Jodi), John (Carol), Steve (Laura), Mike and Neil DeNatale; sisters, Paula DeNatale, Josette (Tim) Reid, Malea (Rich) Bonk and Gina Ayllon; grandchildren, Joseph and Isabella DeNatale and Ethan and Lillian Zierke; brother-in-law, Tim Applegate; sister-in-law, Ruth (Greg) Cano; father-in-law, Ed Gigli; many nieces, nephews and an abundance of friends and hunting buddies. He was preceded in death by his sister, Christine Applegate and his mother-in-law, Pat Gigli.

Vigil services will be held 7 p.m., Thursday and a Mass of Christian burial will be held 3 p.m., Friday both at St. Dominic's Church, 475 East I St., Benicia.
