Remedios Padilla Mangoba Notice
Dec. 21, 1928 - April 10, 2014

Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend peacefully passed away in the early morning hours of April 10.

She leaves behind her husband, Deacon Leo B. Mangoba; three children, Samuel, Sol-Mildred, and Leo; two grandchildren, Alex and Natalie; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Born in the Philippines, Remi was the youngest of five children. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the Far Eastern University in Manila. She worked in the legal field in Manila before immigrating to the United States in 1969 with her three children to join her husband, who had already arrived a few years earlier to prepare for the family's new life in this country. Remi and her family settled in Vallejo. She worked for many years at Napa State Hospital until she retired as Executive Secretary.

Remi was known for her kind heart, quick wit, and sense of humor. She was devoted to her family and faith. She thrived as an active parishioner of the St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church.

Her vigil will be Monday, April 14, at 7 p.m., at Colonial Chapels in Vallejo.

Mass will be Tuesday, April 15, at 11 a.m., at St. Vincent Ferrer Church, followed by her burial at All Souls Cemetery.

Arrangements under the direction of Colonial Chapels.
