Dr. Dianna Lynn Rynkiewicz Notice
April 16, 1962 - March 18, 2010

Dr. Dianna Lynn Rynkiewicz passed away peacefully on the morning of Thursday, March 18, 2010, in her Benicia home, surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Dianna was born April 16, 1962 at Camp Lejeune, NC, the daughter of Raymond F. and Carol Frick Rynkiewicz. A highly educated professional, she graduated from Dartmouth College in 1984 and from New York University School of Medicine in 1989. She then completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship in infectious disease at Brigham and Women's Hospital and the University of Arizona Medical Center Program.

While on active duty with the Air Force at Davis-Monthan AFB, Tucson, AZ, Dianna met her future husband, Dr. Jim Lindemuth. They married on Nov. 21, 1995, and have lived in Tucson, AZ, San Antonio, TX and Northern California. Most recently, Dianna was employed at Kaiser-Permanente in Vallejo as an infectious disease physician. She loved her work, colleagues and patients. Although she had many academic accomplishments, her forte, and passion, was always patient care. She was the doctor that you wanted to have because she cared deeply about each patient and left no stone unturned when it came to a mysterious case.

Dianna had a zest for life, family, and adventure that few people could rival. She most enjoyed time with her girls, weekend family outings and great vacations. Her life was full and it's amazing how much she managed to accomplish in her short time.

In addition to her husband and daughters, Dianna is survived by her stepchildren, Kayleigh, Briney and Paul; her father, Raymond; her sister, Maria, and brothers, Stan and Roger; as well as many dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 4 to 8 p.m., on Tuesday, March 23rd, at Skyview Memorial Lawn, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo, CA, and a funeral service at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 24th, at St. Basil the Great Catholic Church, 1200 Tuolumne St., Vallejo, CA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Dianna's memory may be made to Partners in Health or Livestrong.

Arrangements by Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo, CA
