Gwendolyn Evangeline Tholmer, 62, of Vallejo, passed away at Kaiser Vallejo on Thursday. She was born in Oakland, Calif.
Gwendolyn worked as a pre-school teacher for 15 years. She was a member of Corinthians Church of God in Christ. She enjoyed Bible studies, taking pictures, going on cruises and soap operas.
Preceded in death by her parents, Lional Ernest Sr., Rosamary Tholmer and her daddy, Nal Reese Jr.
Gwendolyn is survived by her sisters, Gennal Curtis (Arthur Martin) of Lemon Grove, Calif., Denetta Sanderson of Vallejo, Amelia Lee, Latrice Collins, Melvinia Bradley (Bobby) of Sacramento, Marthea Thorton of Vallejo and Lisa Menefee of Sacramento; Godsister, Regina K. Lewis of Vallejo; brothers, Gregory Whiteside (Darlene) of El Sobrante, Lionel Ernest Tholmer Jr. of Sacramento, Frank Lynn Tholmer of Sacramento, Calvin
Anthony Tholmer of Sacramento and Alphonse Tholmer of Sacramento; Godson Keith Sanderson; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth (Oscar) Wells and Anthony (Cynthia) Tholmer.
Visitation to be held from 3 to 8 p.m. Monday, June 7, at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St., Vallejo, CA. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Corinthians COGIC, 1101 Benicia Road, Vallejo. Private inurnment.
