Kenneth R. Kershner, 86, of Vallejo passed away Tuesday, from kidney failure, at Kaiser Vallejo Medical Center. He was born in Oakland, CA.
Ken served his country in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War. Employed at Mare Island Naval Shipyard for 40 years, he retired in 1982. He then went on to work at PG&E.
Ken loved his family and friends. He enjoyed Steam Trains and traveling to many states and countries such as Switzerland, Germany, France and Japan. Ken was a member of Masonic Lodge, #87. After 59 years of marriage, he is survived by his loving wife, Miriam; his son, Gerald, and his grandsons, Dustin and Andrew.
Visitation will be held on Monday, Oct. 29, from 3 to 7 p.m. Services to be held Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2 p.m., both at Skyview Memorial Chapel, 200 Rollingwood Drive, Vallejo, CA. Private Inurnment. Arrangements by Skyview Memorial Lawn, Vallejo, CA.
