Fred Carlyle Weaver, of Concord passed away on Feb. 10, after a brief illness at Kaiser Hospital in Walnut Creek. He was born in Brea, CA., on Sept. 22, 1930 to Fred and Ruth. He was predeceased by his sister, Beverly and son, Fred Jr.
Fred graduated from Vallejo High School in 1948, studied Architecture at Heald Business College before joining the Army in 1949. He was honorably discharged in 1956. Fred worked in the San Francisco / Bay Area for many years at McGuire Hester, Air Reduction, Kaiser Aluminum and Oakland Housing Authority. Fred went back to school at Heald Business College in 1980 and retired from DPAS in 1995.
Fred watched his SF 49ers and Giants faithfully. He enjoyed his woodworking, gardening, cooking, Sunday comics and crossword puzzles. He loved spending his time with his family and sharing stories and emails with old friends.
Fred was the devoted and beloved husband to Danielle. He is survived by his children, Richard Weaver, Alan (Janice Lee) and Douglas (Nina) Chew and Debra (Albert) Romero. He also leaves behind four grandchildren in the Bay Area and four grandchildren in Arizona, and his loving niece, Dona (Craig) Hall and her family. He will be missed by a large extended family and friends throughout the Bay Area.
His family and friends will remember him for his movie star good looks, kindness, sense of humor, compassion, easy going manner and welcoming big heart to everyone.
