Belvia Wilson entered into eternal rest on Oct. 6, 2013. Belvia was born on May 24, 1939 to Bammer and Mildred Lee, in Tyler Texas as the fourth of 14 children. During her growing years, Belvia lived in Omaha, Nebraska. After attending the University of Nebraska, Omaha, Belvia moved to Vallejo, CA in 1959 and met Leon Wilson, a now retired Vallejo
Belvia was a Computer Programmer for the Concord Naval Weapon Station, where she retired after 30 years of service. Belvia was an active member of Friendship Baptist Church, serving on the Board of Trustees for more than 35 years. After raising their family in Vallejo, Belvia and Leon moved to Vacaville for the "good life" of retirement. Belvia became a member of the Shiloh Baptist Church, Vacaville, CA.
Belvia leaves her beloved husband Leon of 54 years, their three children: Karen Louise Johnson of Fairfield, CA; Robert Leon Wilson of Phoenix, Arizona; and Elizabeth "Becky" Wilson of San Rafael, CA and four grandchildren: Lauren Wilson, Andrew Wilson, Brittany Johnson, and Alexandria Johnson.
A Quiet Hour will be held on Oct. 9, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nadeau Family Funeral Home, 180 E. Monte Vista Ave, Vacaville, CA. The funeral will be held on Oct. 10, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church, 185 Chandler Street, Vacaville, CA.
