Mr. Broderick D. Nickelberry passed after a brief illness on Tuesday, Feb. 18 in Vallejo, at home. Broderick was born in the city of Earl, Arkansas to the union of Mr. Garland Nickelberry and Ms. Mattye Johnson on June 17, 1966. Broderick relocated to Richmond, CA in late 1966 with his family.

Broderick has a daughter, Latricia Marie Nickelberry and a son, Broderick Dewayne Nickelberry Jr., from his union with Kathleen Jennifer Jornlin who met in 1986. At which time, Broderick began turning his life around and worked on becoming a wonderful father and husband.

Broderick Nickelberry worked for the Local 342, Steam Fitters Plumbers Pipe Fitters Union for 19 years as a Pipe Fitter. Broderick was also a member of the Kings of Cali Motorcycle Club and supported children sports in Vallejo.

Broderick had many acquaintances and friends. He had a personality that touched everyone he came in contact with and left a lasting memory. He was such a lovable, genuinely caring guy and will be missed and remembered by many.

He leaves to mourn his passing his wife, Kathy Nickelberry; son, Broderick Nickelberry Jr.; daughter, Latricia Nickelberry; father, Garland Nickelberry; mother, Mattye Nickelberry Johnson Bennett; brother, Marcus Nickelberry; sister-in-law, Irene Nickelberry; nephew, Isaiah Nickelberry; sister, Shannon Gordon; brother-in-law, Bruce Gordon; nephew, Shawn Gordon, step sister, Monique Bennett; step father, Alvin Bennett; step mother, Mary Nickelberry; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, club brothers and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, Feb. 27 and Friday, Feb. 28 from 3 to 8 p.m., at Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home, 524 Capitol St. in Vallejo.

The memorial/repast will be held on Saturday, March 1 at 11 a.m., at Vallejo Community Center, 225 Amador St. in Vallejo.

Arrangements are under the direction and care of Wiggins-Knipp Funeral Home.
