The Airport would like to say that our thoughts are with the Santich Family. Dave was a regular visitor of the Bradford Cty Airport and Harkness Resturant. He will greatly be missed. Its hard to imagine not hearing his voice/aircraft/tail number over the unicom again.

Our hearts fell when we heard that Dave died. We only know him from coming into his shop. Over 17 years ago, we came across Dave's shop. My husband had some old bike and I decided to buy him one from our son and I. Dave held the bike while I sent him a deposit. I took a polaroid picture of my son, Stephen and me holding a sign saying Happy Father's Day. We took a ride to the cycle shop to look around and for my husband to window shop at a bike he liked.Dave had put our picture on the bike my husband had his eye on. When he saw the picture, he was so upset to see that it was sold, he never looked at the picture. Dave and I were smiling to each other as my husband said how nice THAT family was!! We all had a good laugh once my husband recognized us and realized we were that nice family. We bought my son, Stephen his first bike from Dave, a 50 cc. Now he is 17 years old and is riding his third or fourth bike now. We always referred to Dave as "Dirtbike Dave" since Stephen was only small when they first met.We drove 1 1/2 hours from our Perkasie home just to visit his shop.
Dave was a patriot and was not afraid to share that he was a Christian with good morals and beliefs. That made him ever more likeable and we often talked about how the country is changing.
We just can't believe he is gone. Stephen had just been to see him a couple of weeks ago to pick up his bike. I will thank God that I was able to know and meet Dave everytime I hear that dirtbike echoing through the woods at our home. I know God will shed his warmth on Dave as he rides through the pearly gates. He broke in his last pair of riding boots. It is all rest and love from hereon out. God Bless you, his family and thank you for listening to my story. He was a good, exceptional American and his example will live on in those he touched. We will always remember him
Kindly,

Always enjoyed stopping by Dave's shop to see the new KTMs and talk about racing. This common interest in motorcycles made for great conversation and His "old school" motorcycle shop was like no other in the area. Dave will be missed by all who knew him.

Dave was an amazing guy, loved to talk bikes with him. a kind and gentle soul, as a kid he was my neighbor so we used to hang out at his shop from time to time, he was always great to us kids. Later when I was older he showed me the freedom bikes could bring. he loved what he did and had a passion . I will miss stopping in to talk with him, really one of the good guys.
