HANOVER TWP. — Josephine (Gusta) Petro, 94, of Hanover Township, passed away Monday, July 14, 2014, at ManorCare, Kingston. Born July 13, 1920, in Breslau, Hanover Township, she was a daughter of the late Alex and Anna Kopacz.
She was a graduate of Hanover Area High School, and a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Plymouth.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed by Trans World Airline, New York.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, Paul; siblings, John, Mary, Helen, Joseph, Alex, Verna and Anna.
Surviving are her siblings, Julia Wido, Hanover Township, Mildred Gomez, New York, and James Kopacz, Florida; numerous nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great- nephews.
Funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Friday from the S.J. Grontkowski Funeral Home, 530 W. Main St., Plymouth, followed by Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in Ss. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Plymouth. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Plymouth Township. Family and friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday. Parastas service will be held 6:30 p.m. Thursday.

It was always great to see Aunt Gusta either in PA or MI visiting her sisters, my mother, Anna, Mary, and Verna. I have fond memories of her.
