Barbara F. Samson, 77, of Dallas, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan. 30, 2013, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.
Born in Dallas, she was a daughter of the late Ralph and Emaret Gressel. She was a graduate of Westmoreland High School, class of 1953. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Dallas and the Dorcas Society.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Forrest Samson, and sister Marjory Motter.
Surviving are children, Tammy Hagey, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio; Jeffrey Samson and his wife, Sandy, Stow, Ohio; Gregory and Rodney Samson, both of Luzerne; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; sister Jean Franklin, Dallas; nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Barbara's life will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 474 Yalick Road, Dallas, with the Rev. Charles Grube officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 474 Yalick Road, Dallas, PA 18612. Arrangements are by the Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming.
