Eleanore M. Wozniak, age 90, formerly of E. Newport St., Hanover Township, died on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at Riverstreet Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
Eleanore was born in Freeland on June 13, 1922, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Makuta) Kislan. She attended the Foster Township schools. She was employed by the RCA Corporation as a floor lady supervisor for more than 20 years, retiring in 1986. Eleanore was also a licensed practical nurse. She was a member of St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, Ashley.
Preceding her in death was a brother, Edward Kislan.
Surviving are son, Robert Wozniak, and his wife, Michaeline, Columbia, N.J.; daughters, Paula Hoyer and her husband, Jeff, York, Pa.; Jean Schappert and her husband, Jude, Hanover Township; Nancy Wozniak and her partner, Kay Trimble, Lake City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Desiree Bannon, Aimee and Jude Schappert; three great-grandchildren, Larissa and McKenzie Bannon, Ayla Schappert; several nieces also survive.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 9 a.m. from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. from St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, Manhattan St., Ashley. Interment will be in St. John's Cemetery, Freeland. Friends may call on Sunday from 6 to 9 p.m.
