Fessler, Elizabeth*  
DALLAS — Elizabeth Fessler, 57, of Dallas, passed away on Friday, Nov. 14, 2014, at the Lakeside Nursing Center, Dallas, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born in Edwardsville on May 15, 1957, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen Kaschak Kuchta. She was a graduate of Bishop O'Reilly High School and graduated with honors from King's College, Wilkes-Barre. She was employed by King's College and by First Valley Hospital, both of Wilkes-Barre. She was a very active member of the former Gate of Heaven Church, Dallas, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and volunteered her time at the many church bazaars. Her life revolved around caring for and raising her family. She also enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and she loved interior decorating her home for the holidays. She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Gregory Fessler; daughter, Maria; son, John; sisters, Theresa, Dorothy, Louise and Annie; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Andrew Strish Funeral Home, 11 Wilson St., Larksville. A Mass of Christian Burial is at 10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Church, Nesbitt Street, Larksville. Interment will follow in St. Anthony's Cemetery, Courtdale. Family and& friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday.

Frank, Mildred*  
WILKES-BARRE — Mildred Frank, 91, formerly of Kingston, died Wednesday, Nov. 19, 2014, in the Wilkes-Barre General Hospital. Born in Scranton, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Bella Kane Utan and was a graduate of Scranton High School. She was a member of Temple Israel Synagogue, it's sisterhood, Hadassah, the Jewish Community Center and other civic and religious organizations. Mildred was an avid bridge player and enjoyed reading. She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Arthur Frank, in 2008. She is survived by her sons, Dr. Alan Frank, Kingston; Jeffery "Jake" Frank, Denver, Colorado; daughter, Carol Melcher and her husband, Mark, Franklin, Massachusetts; three grandchildren, Joshua, Kimberly and Elias; one great-grandchild, Hudson; sister, Shirley Selton, Forest Hill, New York; nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Sunday at the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel Inc., 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre. Rabbi Larry Kaplan and Cantor Ahron Abraham will officiate. Interment will follow in Temple Israel Cemetery, Swoyersville. Shiva will be observed 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at 201 James Street, Kingston.
