Donna M. Shupshinskus Casey

ASHLEY — Donna M. Shupshinskus Casey, 52, of Ashley, died Saturday, March 22, 2014, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of Ruth Shupshinskus, Ashley, and the late John Shupshinskus. She was a graduate of Hanover High School and Wilkes-Barre Vocational Technical School, where she received her nursing degree. Donna was employed as a Hospice Nurse for many years and was a member of St Leo's/Holy Rosary Church and other organizations.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Shupshinskus.

Donna is survived, in addition to her mother, by her loving husband, Larry Casey; children, Amy Casey, Plains Township; Larry Casey, Ashley; Danielle Casey, Ashley; four grandchildren, Emmalee, Makynna, Meika and Aiden; brothers, Chris, John and Kenny Shupshinskus; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday from the Lehman Family Funeral Service Inc., 689 Hazle Ave., Wilkes-Barre, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Church, 33 Manhattan St., Ashley, with the Rev. Richard Cirba officiating. Interment will be conducted in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home or 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Leo's/Holy Rosary Food Pantry, Ashley.
