Elaine Catterall

WILKES-BARRE — Elaine Catterall, 86, a resident of Little Flower Manor in Wilkes Barre, passed away Thursday evening, March 20, 2014. She is survived by her beloved husband, William Catterall, with whom she resided. The couple would have celebrated their 52nd wedding anniversary in May.

Born in Teaneck, N.J., on July 23, 1927, a daughter of the late William and Grace Diedolf Van Cott, Elaine worked as an executive assistant for J.P. Morgan prior to her retirement. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by those who loved her.

She is survived by her children, Tracey Rinehimer and her husband, Geary, Moosic, Van Catterall and his wife, Dianne, Greensboro, N.C., and Mark Catterall and his wife, Rosa, York; and four grandchildren, William, Christine, Anthony and Adam.

Her family expresses their gratitude to the entire staff, especially the nurses, of Little Flower Manor for the amazing care given to Elaine during her stay.

Private funeral services are scheduled for Saturday with interment to follow at the Dunmore Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Elaine's name to Paralyzed Veterans of America, c/o 801 18th Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20006-3517.
