Eric Redick Sr.

Eric Redick Sr., of Wilkes-Barre, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012.

He was a son of the late Dorothy and Bertrum Redick. Eric was married 53 years to the love of his life, the late Nancy Redick.

Eric was educated at G.A.R. High School. He then worked for Faith Shoe and Williams Bus Line. He was also a Wilkes-Barre City firefighter and served in the 109th. Eric was owner operator of Redick's Bar and Grill, Redick's Township Inn and Redick's Produce and Deli.

Eric worked for Wilkes-Barre Area School District for many years as assistant building superintendent. After retiring, he worked at Moon Lake Building and Grounds. He also was a Wilkes-Barre City councilman for eight years.

Eric was a loyal friend, loving husband and the best father there ever was. He loved so much to get in the car with his wife and just drive and get lost. Every day was special for him because he was with his love, Nancy. His favorite place to go every year with his family was Wildwood Crest.

Eric is survived by his three children, daughters, Shirley (Tom), Sharon (Bob); son, Eric (Kim); his special angel whom he loved so much, granddaughter, Erica Weihbrecht and his special loyal best friend, his dog, Joey.

Private funeral services were held from the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley. There will be no calling hours.
