Jody Tyler Vaskas

TUNKHANNOCK — Jody Tyler Vaskas, of Tunkhannock, died at his home on Wednesday, July 9, 2014. He was born in Tunkhannock on Oct. 16, 1965.

Jody was a 1983 graduate of Tunkhannock High School. He attended the Church of Nativity BVM in Tunkhannock and Our Lady of Victory Parish, Harveys Lake.

Jody was an avid fisherman, loved animals and painting with oils. He was an accomplished photographer and videographer. Most of all he was a loving father, son and brother.

With wings of faith, Jody came to Jesus in his brokenness and his love for others. He was made whole, to soar in heaven in peace and love as he encounters a new journey. We all have to face ourselves someday.

"There shall be no pain for the former things have passed away." Rev 21:4.

Surviving is his mother, Geraldine "Geri" Vaskas; son, Tyler J. Vaskas; brothers, Todd and Randy Vaskas, all of Tunkhannock; several aunts and uncles; and cousins.

A memorial service will be a later date.
