John A. Mowery, 36, of Amron Drive, Bloomsburg died Sunday afternoon, Oct. 28, 2012, at home. Born June 15, 1976, in Berwick Hospital, he was a son of John Mowery, Berwick, and Debra Applebey Mowery Miller, Nanticoke.
He graduated from Northwest Area High School in 1995 and was employed by PPL Montour. He was an avid hunter.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jack and Betty Applebey.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, the former Lyndsey Zimmerman, whom he married Oct. 12, 2007; a twin brother, Jim Mowery and his wife, Tarra, Berwick; nephew Jack Mowery, Berwick; stepmother Tammy Mowery; stepfather Jack Miller; and paternal grandparents John and Edith Mowery, Berwick.
Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Mayo Funeral Home Inc., 77 N. Main St., Shickshinny. Funeral services will follow at 8 p.m. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. For additional information or to send condolences, please visit www.mayofh.com.
