ASHLEY — Kimberly Krakauski, 65, of Green Street, Ashley, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2014, due to a structure fire at her home.
Born in Ashley on June 4, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Stella (Krakauski) Ruda.
She was a graduate of St. Leo's High School, class of 1967. She was employed by RCA Corp., Mountain Top.
She was a very active member of Holy Family Parish, Sugar Notch, where she was a member of its Christian Mothers, Holy Rosary Society and was a member of the choir.
She was also a member of the Sacred Heart League, a Third Order Franciscan and an avid member of the local Pennsylvanians for Human Life organization.
She was preceded in death by her aunts, Theresa Albee and Irene Krakauski; uncles, Adam and John Krakowski.
Surviving are an aunt, Rose Krakowski; many cousins and many dear friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Holy Family Parish, with the Rev. Joseph Kakareka officiating. Everyone is invited to go directly to the church on Friday morning. Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Family and friends are invited to call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., Ashley.
