Leah D. Brussock

KINGSTON — Leah D. Brussock, 84, of West Vaughn Street, Kingston, passed away Saturday morning, May 31, 2014, at Wilkes-Barre General Hospital.

She was born in Forty Fort, a daughter of the late Louis and Natalie James Davis. She graduated from Kingston High School, class of 1947. Leah worked with her father, Louis, in the family business, Davis Printing.

Later, she had worked for the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader until her retirement in 1972.

Leah was a member of the Wyoming Avenue Christian Church, where she had served as a greeter and member of the Women's Fellowship.

Surviving are her loving husband of 63 years, George "Corky" Brussock; sister, Nina Davis Stratton; and her niece Ninaleigh Stratton Wozniak and her husband, Thomas; niece Leah Marie Stratton; nephew, Allen Louis Stratton; and great-nephew, Tyler Davis Wozniak.

At Leah's request, the funeral and interment at Mount Greenwood Cemetery, Trucksville, will be private and held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Wyoming Avenue Christian Church, 881 Wyoming Ave., Kingston, PA 18704.
