EDWARDSVILLE — Mary E. Chesluk, 94, of Edwardsville, died Saturday, July 5, 2014, in Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.
She was born in Lehman, a daughter of the late Stephen and Eva Yash Ladamus.
She was a graduate of Larksville High School, and was a longtime faithful employee of Old River Road Bakery.
Mary was a member of Jednota and the Slovak Catholic sokols. Before its closing, she was a member of St. Hedwig's Church, and currently, St. Ignatius Church, Kingston.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore P. Chesluk; infant daughter, Theodora Jean; sisters, Margaret Slosak, Emily Velky, Elizabeth Baird and Anna Mikus; and brother, George Ladamus.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Thea (John) Escarge, Hanover Township; granddaughters, Kimberly Keller and her husband, Christopher, and Jennifer Escarge and her fiance, Thomas Sanders; great-granddaughters, Julia Depro, Kaitlynn Keller and Olivia Keller; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; cousin, Rita Welebob; and family friend, George Germak.
Funeral will be 9:30 a.m. Tuesday from the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church. Interment will be in St. Stephen's Cemetery, Lehman. Friends may call 8:30 a.m. to funeral.
