Mary Gerrity

Mary Gerrity, a 20-year resident of Oceanside, Calif., left this earth to be with the Lord on Dec. 7, 2012.

Born on Dec. 17, 1930, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of Mary and James Reilly.

She met her husband of 58 years, Joseph Jerome Gerrity, and they married on Feb. 27, 1954, at St. Mary's Catholic Church. They moved in 1954 to Maryland, where they both owned M&J Associates Inc.

They raised their four children in Timonium, Md. In addition to staying at home to raise her four children, Mary spent a great deal of time involved in various religious activities, including numerous prayer groups. Mary had an incredible love for the Lord, she also enjoyed dancing and traveling around the United States. She had a smile and laugh that would light up a room.

She is proceeded in death by her parents, James and Mary Reilly; brothers, Jack and Harry Reilly.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Jerome Gerrity, Oceanside, Calif.; her four children and their spouses, Maureen Gerrity and Jan Gibson, Bel Air, Md.; Marty and Debbie Gerrity, Chesterfield, Mo.; Lisa Gerrity of Baltimore, Md.; Ann and Brad Bleeck, Plano, Texas.

She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Brooks Gerrity, son of Marty and Debbie; Kristina and Jaden Gerrity, daughter and son of Maureen and Jan Gerrity; Brianna Bleeck, daughter of Ann and Brad Bleeck; her siblings, James Reilly, Ariz.; Frank Reilly, Kay Reilly and Michael Reilly, all residents of Fla.
