WILKES BARRE — Paul H. Blower "Blauer," 81, died at Wilkes Barre General Hospital, after battles of multiple infections.
His wife, Helen Mandak Blower "Blauer," 57, died in November 1995.
Paul was a long-time resident of Maffett Street, Plains Township, as well as Kingston and Wilkes-Barre, earlier and later in his life.
He lastly resided at ManorCare Nursing Home, Kingston.
Born 1933, in Mountain Top, he was a son of the late John E. Blower and Catherine Hughes Blower.
He was a lifelong skilled upholster for the majority of his working career. Later in life, he was also employed by Patte's Sports Bar and Grotto Pizza in Wilkes Barre, both of which he so loved most of all.
He was a lifelong member of St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, Wilkes Barre.
Surviving is son, George Paul Blower "Blauer"; daughter-in-law, Jeanette Barkovitz Blauer; and "apple-of-his-eye" granddaughter, Holly Barkovitz, Wilkes Barre; brothers, Robert Blauer, Exeter, and John Blauer, Gainesville, Florida, as well as, many nieces and nephews.
Those wishing to pay their final respects may do so noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday in St. Matthew Evangelical Lutheran Church, 667 N. Main St., Wilkes Barre, with a funeral/memorial service at 2 p.m. led by Pastor Gary Scharrer and organist, George Walker Jr. The procession will then be continued and concluded at Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas.
