Pearl M. Perugino

Pearl M. Perugino, 95, formerly of Lehigh Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the Little Flower Manor, Wilkes-Barre.

Pearl was born in Wilkes-Barre on Nov. 3, 1917, a daughter of the late Antonio and Nellie Collochi Masi. She was a member of Holy Rosary Church and its Sacred Heart & Rosary Society, Wilkes-Barre. Pearl formerly was employed as a seamstress in the local garment industry and was a member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Perugino, in 1996. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Leno, Jerry, Joseph and Victor Masi; and her sister Janette Frusante.

She is survived by a daughter, Rose M. Deno, and her husband, Lloyd, Ashley; son, Anthony Perugino, and his wife, Kim, Hanover Township; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; sister Mary Ceccoli and her husband, Robert, Forty Fort; sister-in-law, Maxine Masi, Van Nuys, Calif.; and nieces and nephews.

Pearl's family thanks the Rev. Richard Ghezzi, the sisters and the entire staff at Little Flower Manor for their kind and compassionate care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday at 9 a.m. in the Chapel of Little Flower Manor, 200 S. Meade St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre, and on Saturday from 8:30 to 9 a.m. at Little Flower Manor.
