Robert J. Schneiderhan Sr.

KINGSTON — Robert J. Schneiderhan Sr., 85, of Warren Avenue, Kingston, died on Saturday evening, May 24, 2014, at Kingston Health Care Center, Kingston.

Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Joseph and Pearl Lines Schneiderhan. He graduated from Kingston High School and Sims Business Course. He served in the U.S. Army.

Robert had resided in Kingston for most of his life. Prior to retirement, he was employed at Commonwealth Telephone. He was an active member of Dorranceton United Methodist Church, Kingston, and formerly a member of the Rotary.

Robert was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed his cabin in Shickshinny.

His daughter, Debbie Burry, preceded him in death in 1993.

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Thelma Marley Schneiderhan; son, Robert J. "Bob" Schneiderhan Jr. and his wife, Wendy, Shippensburg; brothers, John "Jack" Schneiderhan, Camp Hill, and George Schneiderhan, Maryland; four grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Private funeral will be held at the Hugh B. Hughes & Son Inc. Funeral Home, 1044 Wyoming Ave., Forty Fort. The interment will be private at Fern Knoll Burial Park, Dallas.
