DALLAS — Sarah Williams, 96, formerly of Dallas, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014, at St. Luke's Villa, Wilkes-Barre.
Born in Ashley, Sarah was a daughter of the late John O. and Mary Williams Williams. She was a graduate of Ashley High School and attended the Coughlin Business School.
Sarah was employed as a practical nurse at General Hospital, Wilkes-Barre.
She was a Sunday school teacher, den mother and an active member of Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were her husband, Donald Williams; sisters, Katherine Lewis and Jane Jones; brothers, William and Hugh Williams; grandson, Eric J. Williams.
Surviving are son, Donald Williams, and his wife, Jean, Nanticoke; grandchildren, Mark, Kyle and Lauren Williams, all of Nanticoke; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday from the Harold C. Snowdon Funeral Home Inc., 140 N. Main St., Shavertown. The Rev. Kathleen E. Jamhoury, pastor at Trinity Presbyterian Church, Dallas, will officiate. Interment will be made in Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, Dallas. Friends may call 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
