MARGATE, Fla. — Tillie "Terry" Urgalavage, 98, of Margate, formerly of Exeter and New Jersey, passed away at the University Hospital and Medical Center, Tamarak, Florida.
She was born in West Pittston, daughter of the late Joseph and Martha (Pardausk) and was a graduate of Exeter High School, class of 1934.
Tillie worked for 24 years at Westinghouse in Newark, New Jersey, retiring in 1970. She was a former member of St. Casimir Church, Pittston, and a longtime active member of St. Vincent Church, Margate.
During her time in Flordia, she walked every day and made many friends, including Isabel Walker, Margateta Hermanson and George and Maryanne Santos.
Her husband, Patrick, preceded her in death in 1995 as well as sisters Bette Proleika, Jenny Rock and Julia Young, and a brother, John Teresavage.
Surviving is a sister, Mary Hizenski, Exeter; a nephew, Jeffrey Rock, Methuen, Massachusetts; niece Rita Tommaselli, Swoyersville; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Thursday from the Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am in St. John the Evangelist Church, 35 William St., Pittston. Father Peter Tomczak will be officiating. Friends may call 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
