Anthony "Tony" R. Osolnick Jr., 70, formerly of Nanticoke, passed away March 31, 2013 at home in Tlachichilco, Mexico.

Born in Kingston, he was a son of the late Anthony R. Sr. and Betty Bloom Osolnick.
Tony was a 1960 graduate of Hanover High School and served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam era.
During his lifetime, Tony was a captain in the Nanticoke Police Department and then opened the Osolnick Detective Agency. After he closed his agency, he became an investigator for the Pennsylvania Bureau of Occupational and Professional Affairs. Upon retirement, he worked as an appraiser for Mitchell Real Estate. He was a member of various motorcycle clubs and loved riding his Harley.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, in 2007; son, Craig; and brother-in-law, Edward Aftewicz Jr.
Surviving are daughter, Sherrie Lynn Brink and her husband, Kenny, Chesapeake, Va.; brother, Joseph and his wife, Beth, Kingston; sister, Pamela Aftewicz, Nanticoke; four granddaughters; nieces and nephews; his dog, Sam; and many friends.
Tony will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
Private funeral services were held at the family's convenience. A memorial service will be held in Mexico on May 3. Local arrangements by Kearney Funeral Home Inc., 173 E. Green St., Nanticoke.
