John ""Jack"" Fedor, 68, of Kingston, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre on Feb. 14, 1945, a son of the late Joseph and Betty Tvorak Fedor. Jack was a 1962 graduate of Coughlin High School. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Vietnam War. He was formerly employed as a computer programmer at First Eastern Bank and later at Alltel Communications prior to his retirement.
Jack was a member of St. Nicholas Church, Wilkes-Barre, and a former member of St. Conrad's Young Men's Society and its bowling league. Jack was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved to bake birthday cakes for his children and family members. Jack was an avid movie watcher and collector.
Surviving are his wife of 37 years, Ann H. Rider Fedor; children, Beth Ann Trowbridge and her husband, Brent, Wyalusing, Jennifer Fedor, Mountain Top, Timothy John Fedor, Plains Township, and Douglas James Fedor, at home; granddaughter, Katelyn Ann Trowbridge; brother, Ron Fedor and his wife Pat, Conn.; sister, Debbie Kepics, Harrisburg; and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in St. Nicholas Church, 226 S. Washington St., Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in the parish cemetery, Shavertown. Friends may call on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Nat & Gawlas Funeral Home, 89 Park Ave., Wilkes-Barre.
The family requests that memorial donations be made to the Geisinger Foundation, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA 17822-6019, in the memory of John Fedor for the Pearsall Heart Hospital.
