WILKES-BARRE — Mark Kornfeld, 75, of Wilkes-Barre, died Monday, June 16, 2014, at home.
Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Samuel and Esther Bauman Kornfeld. He was a graduate of Meyers High School and attended Penn State University.
He served in the U.S. Army in the 300 Field Hospital and was owner and operator of The Woodlands Inn & Resort, Wilkes-Barre.
Mark is survived by his three sons, Eric Kornfeld and his wife, Ellen; Ross Kornfeld and his wife, Dana; Mitch Kornfeld and his wife, Taly, all of Kingston; 11 grandchildren, Ali, Seth, Nora, Tess, Sam, Ash, Maya, Zev, Bekah, Coby and Zak Kornfeld; and brothers, Myron "Mike" Kornfeld, Boynton Beach, Florida, and Gary Kornfeld, Kingston.
Funeral services were held. Rabbi Larry Kaplan officiated.
Shiva will be observed from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at The Woodlands Inn & Resort. Arrangements are by the Rosenberg Funeral Chapel Inc., 348 S. River St., Wilkes-Barre.
