Robert Solomon "Bobby" Aben

DALLAS — Robert Solomon "Bobby" Aben, 80, of Dallas, passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, at his home.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, he was a son of the late Eugene and Florence (Evans) Abenmoha. He was a graduate of Kingston High School, class of 1952, and Wilkes College in 1970. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving with the 508th Regimental Combat Team as a paratrooper and ranger.

The Aben family thanks Erwine Home Health and Hospice for their sincere kindness and compassion when caring for Bobby.

Preceding him in death was a sister, Florence "Honey" Chaut.

Surviving are his wife, Rebecca "Becky"; children, Jason Aben and his wife, Carolyn, Shavertown; Jonah Aben, Swoyersville; Alia Aben Delong and her husband, Erik, Bluffton, S.C.; grandchildren, Samantha and Zachary Aben, Brian and Katie Delong; brother, Charles Aben, Birmingham, Ala.; nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family from the Metcalfe-Shaver-Kopcza Funeral Home Inc., 504 Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Interment will be in the Perrego Cemetery, Harveys Lake. There will be no calling hours.
