Alice Liggett, 64, of Ross Street, Ashley, went home to her Lord and Savior early Friday morning at Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township, surrounded by her loving family.
Alice was born on Oct. 24, 1948. She was the daughter of the late William and Emma (Casterline) Edwards.
Alice graduated from Wilkes-Barre Township High School, class of 1966. She was a member of Ashley Centenary United Methodist Church. Alice was formerly employed by Flair Footwear, Wilkes-Barre, and at The School House Day Care, Hanover Township. She enjoyed traveling and NASCAR.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years of marriage, William Liggett; daughters, Georgette Ulichney and her husband, Christopher; Karen Liggett and companion, Robert Gudoski, and Rebecca Liggett; grandchildren, Steven and Emma Ulichney; brother, James Edwards; numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Alice will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the George A. Strish Inc. Funeral Home, 105 N. Main St., , Ashley. Pastor Roger Noss Jr. will officiate. Interment will be held in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
