WILKES-BARRE — Ann Decker, of Bradford Street, Wilkes-Barre, passed away Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at home peacefully, surrounded by her family.
Born March 29, 1923, in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late George and Catherine Deeb Decker. She was a graduate of GAR High School, class of 1941, and was formerly employed by RCA Corp., Mountain Top, for more than 25 years. She was also a member of its retirement club.
She was a member of St. Anthony's/St. George Maronite Church and their ladies' Altar and Rosary.
Ann loved to walk, read, garden and share her vegetables with family and friends.
She was preceded in death by sisters, Mamie Korey, Mary Decker; brothers, Peter Decker, Joseph Decker, Daniel Decker.
She is survived by nieces, Catherine John, Diana Korey, Mary Jane Korey, Donna Bedwick; nephews, George Decker, Joseph Decker, Philip Decker and Gerald Korey; numerous great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
The family expresses thanks to Ann's neighbors, the Shaver and Cooney families, and Dr. Susan Sordoni and Celtic Hospice Care.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday from Mamary-Durkin Funeral Services, 59 Parrish St., Wilkes-Barre. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. in St. Anthony's Maronite Church, Park Avenue, Wilkes-Barre. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hanover Township. Friends may call 9 a.m. to the time of the service at the funeral home.
