EXETER — Ann M. Gadello, 89, formerly of Exeter, passed away on Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at her daughter Camille's home in West Pittston.
Born in West Pittston, she was a daughter of the late Vincenzo and Carmella Roberto Cerza.
She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and, prior to retirement, had worked at the Consolidated Cigar Co., West Pittston, and Phillips Seafood and Rex Shoe Co., Exeter.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Gadello, in 1989; brothers Carmen and Anthony Cerza; sisters Josephine Pierontoni, Marion Fazio, Elizabeth Mozal and Freda DeGuglielmo; and great-grandchildren, Abigail and Cito Rivera.
Surviving are her daughters, Peggy Grivner and her companion, Sam Gallo, Exeter, and Camille and her husband, Sean Carroll, West Pittston; a brother, James, and his wife, Iona Cerza, Portsmouth, Va.; a sister, Angela Balzano, West Pittston; grandchildren, Edward Grivner and his wife, Lori, and Michael Grivner and his wife, Marie, Ann Marie Rivera and Matthew, Kevin and Kelly Carroll; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Kintz, Aiana, Adam and Antonio Rivera, and Christopher and Andrew Grivner.
The family extends special thanks to Hospice of the Sacred Heart and to Dr. Stuka for all the kindness shown to Ann during her time of need.
Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the Gubbiotti Funeral Home, 1030 Wyoming Ave., Exeter. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Monday in Corpus Christi Parish in Immaculate Conception Church, 605 Luzerne Ave., West Pittston, with the Msgr. John Sempa, pastor, as celebrant. The family requests that those attending the Mass go directly to the church. Interment will be in West Pittston Cemetery.
