Anna F. Gruver, 93, formerly of Cooper Street, Courtdale, passed away on Saturday morning at the Meadow's Nursing Center in Dallas, where she was a guest.
Born in Pringle, Dec. 21, 1919, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Kachurick.
Anna had been a resident of Courtdale for more than 40 years. Prior to her retirement she was employed by a dress factory in Courtdale for many years.
She was a member of Holy Family Parish in Luzerne.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Fred Gruver; granddaughter, Jodie Lyn Gruver; son Donald Gruver; sons-in-law, Ronald Watkins and James Brennan; sisters, Betty Bottko and Stacia Kachurick; brothers, Stanley and Joseph Kachurick.
Surviving are a son, James Gruver, and his wife, Jo-Anne, Ashley; daughters, Betty Ann Watkins, Dallas, and Pat Brennan, Swoyersville; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Holy Family Parish Church, 574 Bennett St., Luzerne, with Father Michael Zipay officiating. Friends are asked to go directly to the church.
The interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Carverton.
