Donald Pavlick, 71, of Hunlock Creek, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 22, at his lifelong home.
Born in Hunlock Creek, he was the son of the late George and Catherine Yanek Pavlick.
Donald attended the former Harter High School, West Nanticoke, and served in the Army National Guard. He was employed as a carpenter by Hedden Construction Co. before his disability. Donald was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth.
Donald was an avid gardener, always growing a variety of unique plants, such as yellow cucumbers and purple peppers, which he eagerly shared with family and friends. He also enjoyed collecting photographs that captured past local history.
Besides his parents, Donald was preceded in death by his sister Dorothy Mitkowski, and brothers Thomas and Edward Pavlick.
Surviving are his sister Marie Brojakowski, Hunlock Creek; brothers George Pavlick, Hunlock Creek; Robert Pavlick, Hunlock Creek; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Lake Silkworth, on Wednesday, April 3, at 10 a.m. There are no calling hours.
Arrangements are by the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., Pikes Creek.
