MOUNTAIN TOP — Elizabeth J. Spagnola, 91, of Mountain Top, entered into eternal rest on Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at her residence. Born in Hazleton, she was a daughter of the late John and Susan (Znachko) Kuchar.

Betty was an active member of the Mountain Top Presbyterian Church, having participated in the church choir and acted as president of the church Women's Club.

She concluded her working career in the guidance office of Crestwood High School. Betty then started her next career, of which she was very proud, hand-crafting lampshades. However, in all that she did and accomplished in life, her family was always most important to her and spending time with them gave her tremendous joy.

Betty was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband, Anthony Spagnola, in 1996; son Ronald Spagnola; granddaughter Kendell Rudy; brothers John and James Kuchar; and sister Marie Bird. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.

Betty is survived by her daughters, Beth Evert and her husband, Michael Murphy, Roslyn Glynn and her husband, Bill, and Antoinette Riscavage and her husband, George; her daughter-in-law, Karen Spagnola; her 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and her great-great-grandson; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday in Mountain Top Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Jim Shanley, pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery, Hanover Township. Relatives and friends are invited to call 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at McCune Funeral Home, Mountain Top.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are asked for Mountain Top Presbyterian Church, 9 Chestnut St., Mountain Top, PA 18707.
