KINGSTON — Eugene "Gino" A. Mullay Jr., 34, passed away suddenly Sunday, April 27, 2014.
Born in Kingston on Jan. 11, 1980, he was a son of Rosalie Sawchak and the late Eugene Mullay Sr.
He was a 1999 graduate of Wyoming Valley West High School, Plymouth, and attended the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute, Pittsburgh.
Gino enjoyed baseball, football and cooking delicious meals for his family.
He loved listening to the Steely Dan Band and playing with his 4-year-old daughter, Giada Rose.
In addition to his father, Eugene Sr., he is preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Harry and Marie Sawchak, and paternal grandmother, Rose Mullay.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, Rosalie, are his wife of eight years, Ashley; his daughter, Giada Rose; step-mother, Sandy Mullay; sisters, Mary, Sara and Kathleen; 3-year-old niece, Miranda; paternal grandfather, Salvatore Mullay; and several aunts, uncles and cousins
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9 a.m. Saturday in Holy Family Parish, Bennett Street, Luzene. Family and friends are asked to go directly to Holy Family Parish. Interment in St. John's Cemetery, Dallas. Family and friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the Lehman-Gregory Funeral Home Inc., 281 Chapel St., Swoyersville.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established for Gino's daughter, Giada Mullay, at Northumberland County School Federal Credit Union, P.O. Box 455, Milton, PA 17847.
