Francis J. (Frank) Pocono

LUZERNE — Francis (Frank) J. Pocono, 74, of Luzerne, died Sunday, July 8, 2018, in Veterans Administration Medical Center, Wilkes-Barre.

He was born in Kingston, son of the late Adam and Helen (Nellie) Pocono. He was a graduate of Luzerne High School, and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He last worked for Wilkes-Barre Truck Center.

He was an active member of the Luzerne Assembly of God. He enjoyed bowling, fishing and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Pocono.

Frank is survived by his wife, the former Joan Luzetski; daughter, Kimberly Pocono; son, David and his wife, Cheryl Pocono; grandchildren, Carley and Connor; and sister-in-law, Sandy Pocono.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Kopicki Funeral Home, 263 Zerbey Ave., Kingston. Interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
