PITTSTON — Geraldine Falcone, 92, of Pittston, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013, at the Jewish Home, Scranton.
Born in Pittston on April 12, 1921, she was a daughter of the late George and Grace Mancini Bianco.
She was a graduate of Pittston High School, class of 1939. She was a former member of St. Rocco's Roman Catholic Church, Pittston, now St. Joseph Marello Parish.
She, along with her husband, owned and operated City Carpet in Pittston for many years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam N. Falcone, in 2008; and brothers, Anthony and George Bianco.
Surviving are her sons, Dr. Samuel A. Falcone and his wife, Louise, Plains Township; Dr. George Falcone and his wife, Susan, Plains Township; daughters, Sally Muenkel and her husband, Raymond, Lancaster, and Geraldine Arcuri and her husband, Dino, Plains Township; grandchildren, Melissa and her husband, Eric Wassel, Esq.; Samuel A. Falcone, Esq. and his wife, Holly; Carly Falcone; Kimberly and her husband, Timothy Shaw; Geri and her husband, Neil Fiore; Leah Arcuri and Dino Arcuri Jr.; seven great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9 a.m. Thursday at the Peter J. Adonizio Funeral Home, 251 William St., Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. in St. Joseph Marello Parish, 237 William St., Pittston. Interment will follow in St. Rocco's Cemetery, Pittston Township. Friends may call 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
