Harold Lawrence Major, 67, of Dallas, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at home.
Mr. Major was born in Kingston on Dec. 27, 1945, and was a son of the late Harold and Irene Major.
Harold was part of the Lake-Lehman High School graduating class of 1964 and was owner and operator of Harold's Garage for many years. He loved his Harley-Davidson motorcycle and enjoyed hunting with his granddaughter, Shelby. Harold was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all of his grandchildren, daughter, wife and many friends.
Mr. Major is survived by his wife of 45 years, the former Maureen Johnson; daughter, Tracey, and her husband, Ron, Chase; grandchildren, Shelby Major, Trucksville; Morgan and Sara, Chase; great-grandson, Kameron Uronis, Trucksville.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at 5 p.m. from the Curtis L. Swanson Funeral Home Inc., corner of routes 29 and 118, Pikes Creek, with the Rev. David Pegarella of the Nanticoke Christian Fellowship officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. prior to the service.
