Harry J. O'Dell, of West Pittston, passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2013, at home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 15, 1933 in Pittston, a son of the late Gertude (Kern) O'Dell and Clarence O'Dell. He attended West Pittston schools.
Harry was a Fourth Degree knight with the Knights of Columbus, vice president of the Holy Name society and a member of the Democratic Committee for the town of West Pittston.
He was a proud member of Immaculate Conception Church, where he served as an usher.
Prior to retirement, he worked for Pace Transportation and Kingston Metal.
He leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Ann (Campenni) O'Dell; son, Harry O'Dell Jr. and longtime partner, Karin Zuber, Cincinnati, Ohio; daughter, Heather and her husband, Kirk Bonanny, Jenkins Township; grandsons, Harrison Bonanny, Christopher Bonanny and Greg O'Dell; granddaughter, Abby O'Dell; and brother, Henry O'Dell, Larksville.
The family thanks the nurses and staff from Hospice of the Sacred Heart for the exceptional care and compassion they provided to both Harry and our family.
All funeral services were held at the convenience of the family. Harry was laid to rest in West Pittston Cemetery.
Funeral services have been entrusted to Graziano Funeral Home Inc., Pittston Township.
