WEST PITTSTON — Helen M. (Buella) DeLucca, 85, formerly of West Pittston, died Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, in Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center, Plains Township.
Born June 21, 1928, in West Pittston, she was the daughter of the late Joseph J. and Mary Agnes Earley DeLucca, stepdaughter to Elizabeth Mary DeLucca. She worked as a seamstress in the local garment industry for many years. She was a member of Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Mary Elizabeth DeLucca.
She is survived by her brother, Joseph DeLucca, West Pittston; sisters Margaret Venito, New Jersey; Gini Ciampi, West Pittston; and Ann Marie Rosencrance, Dallas. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, Charlene Cocco, Dawn Giacometti, Mary Lombardo, Joseph J. Venito, Maria Karcutskie, Joseph DeLucca, Alan Ciampi, Fred Rosencrance and Anthony DeLucca, as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Anthony Recupero Funeral Home, 406 Susquehanna Ave., West Pittston, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, Corpus Christi Parish, West Pittston, with Monsignor John Sempa officiating. Friends and family are asked to go directly to church Wednesday. Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, New Jersey.
