She was a graduate of Wyoming Valley West, Class of 1970, and earned an MBA from Wilkes College in 1986. Lonie spent five years in the Naval Reserves in Willow Grove, Pa., as a third class petty officer. Since the 1990s, she lived with her family in Swoyersville. Lonie was a proud member of the Swoyersville American Legion.

Lonie leaves behind her devoted husband of 40 years, John Booth; her loving son, Jeremy John Booth; siblings, Joseph DeMarco Jr. (Nan) of Tunkhannock; Donald DeMarco (Mrs. Peg) of Kingston; Candy (Larry) Rubin of Farmingdale, N.Y.; Peggy DeMarco of Loveland, Ohio; Olwyn (Stephen) Mayer of Tucker, Ga.; Gladys DeMarco of Maineville, Ohio; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Lonie loved her family very much and got the most pleasure out of spending time with the little ones. She loved dancing, especially the Electric Slide, and reading Stephen King novels. She will be remembered for her feisty attitude, love of family and friends, and strength under adversity.

According to her wishes, the family will celebrate her life in a private family gathering.
